The Karma Kids Yoga Teacher Training is for anyone who loves working with children. Our course will provide fun-filled, engaging ideas that are beneficial for kids of all ages. Our method of teaching yoga to children incorporates the use of animated poses, props, music, art, games, storytelling and the imagination, to help stimulate their senses as well as stretch and strengthen their developing bodies.

Anxiety, stress and depression are more than common these days, especially during the change of seasons and into holiday time. Chronic anxiety takes a tremendous toll on the body, draining energy resources and keeping the body in a constant state of stress. The effects of anxiety are magnified when the body is not exercised: tension in the muscles build, breathing can be constricted, and the mind has no rest from the whirling thoughts and feelings that feed anxiety. In this 2 part workshop, Learn how to effectively manage stress and anxiety through yoga, aromatherapy oils and pranayama (breathing) techniques.

When tight hips creep in, it can limit your range of motion and interfere with just about everything you do. Hip restriction is often caused by tightness within the muscles of the low back, hips andcore. This Yoga Tune Up class provide exercises and tools that will stretch, strengthen, and massage the areas in and around your hips to create freedom of movement so you can live a healthy, active life.
Advanced backbends require not only flexibility in the spine, but also plenty of range in the shoulder and hip joints - this is where most people hit road bumps that halt their progress. Learn the safe ways to open these structures, while strengthening the supporting muscles of the spine and core. Move towards deeper backbends that invigorate your body and mind, but with respect for your own individual body and its needs. Leave your ego at the door and discover the tools to enjoy a healthy backbending practice.
This workshop/class will breakdown all the basic poses in a traditional yoga practice to meet the needs of the individual body. This thorough practice will not only leave you feeling better, it will refine your understanding of how to align yourself in these essential postures.

This is not appropriate during pregnancy. Please do not eat for 2 hours prior to class.
